How it's made

Excellent working conditions

All stockings are produced near lake Garda in Italy, at a small factory with around 50 workers. Conditions are controlled and good. The factory have several established certifications, among them the OHSAS18000 that deals with health and safety issues.

Energy saving

The manufacturer of Swedish Stockings are at the cutting edge when it comes to sustainability and how to preserve energy in the process. A large part of their production is driven by solar cell panels, and this way they save energy in production

Water Saving

The factory where the stockings are made, purify the water used in production and the dying process, so that it can flow back into the agricultural landscape.

Low Toxic

All coloring of the stockings are done in the factory in Italy, where they are obtained in their own strictly controlled laboratory

All stockings are made out of recycled nylon thread. Packaging are also made out of recycled material.

Zero Waste factories and working on circularity

Swedish Stockings factories are now waste free.

By re-using a material that is not biodegradable, Swedish Stockings are helping the environment to get rid of waste that would otherwise be around forever. We are now also in the process to be able to make som kind of return system for the stockings, so that they can go back into production when you have worn them out.

This products do not contain any animal material or by-product from animals.

Traceable Supply chain and ethically produced

As of fall 2016 Swedish Stockings now also comply with the two highest hanging ethical symbols at Just Fashion, as the first label to receive them! After starting their recycling club, where you can send them your old damaged nylon stockings and they make sure they get recycled, they have closed their loop and leave no waste behind in the process. They still question their production and even though they have scaled up their company, they continue to do it with people, nature and animals in mind.
